Meet The Team
Paul Wimpey
Paul is the owner-operator of Morningside Plumbing Services and has dedicated much of his life to the plumbing industry. He began his career at the age of 14 as a plumber’s helper during the summer. After high school, Paul worked as the Service Manager for Keever Plumbing in Norcross, GA for two years. In 1990, his family purchased Morningside Plumbing, and Paul furthered his education at Gwinnett Tech and Georgia Plumbing Institute, earning his Master’s Class 2 plumbing license in 1993. Paul managed the Student and Military Housing department of Morningside Plumbing and became licensed and certified in Alabama, Tennessee, and Mississippi. In 2013, after his brother’s retirement, Paul bought the remaining shares of the company and took over the day-to-day operations. Outside of work, Paul has been married to his wife, Stephanie, for 39 years, and they have two children and two grandchildren. He is currently enrolled at Luther Rice Seminary, pursuing a BARM degree. Paul’s personal passions include hunting, fishing, and traveling with his family.
Cassie Barrett
Cassie is our dedicated and experienced Office Manager at Morningside Plumbing, having worked with the company for over 14 years. Her primary focus is ensuring customer satisfaction, always striving to make every interaction a positive experience. In addition to her customer-centered role, Cassie is responsible for payroll and all accounting duties, demonstrating her strong organizational and financial skills. Outside of work, Cassie is a devoted mother to two girls, one of whom is a 16-year-old with cerebral palsy. She spends much of her time advocating for and volunteering in the special needs community. Cassie cherishes her time with her family and makes the most of every opportunity to be with them.
Anita Anderson
Anita is the administrative assistant and dispatcher at Morningside Plumbing, having joined the team in 2023. With 35 years of experience in customer service, she is dedicated to ensuring that every interaction with Morningside is smooth and enjoyable. Anita’s focus is on making the experience as easy and pleasant as possible for all customers. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her husband of 35 years, as well as hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with her family.
Greg Thomason
Greg has been an invaluable member of Morningside Plumbing for the past 10 years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company. He plays a key role in both our service and underground departments, contributing to our continued success.
Outside of work, Greg is a proud grandfather to a baby boy, and he cherishes every moment spent with him. He also loves hunting, fishing, and anything that gets him outdoors.
Jerrod Barrett
Jerrod has been a valuable member of Morningside Plumbing since 2003, taking on various roles throughout his career. He started as a plumber’s helper and is currently working toward obtaining his Journeyman Plumbing License. In addition to his work at Morningside, Jerrod serves as a Lieutenant/Firefighter for a Metro Atlanta Fire Department for the past 20 years. He earned a degree in Fire Administration from Columbia Southern University. Jerrod is also actively involved in his church, where he serves as the Youth Pastor for their youth program. He is married to Cassie, and together they have two daughters, with whom he enjoys spending quality time when he's not working.
Josh Walden
Josh is the Service Manager at Morningside Plumbing, bringing over 20 years of experience in the plumbing industry. He began his career with Morningside Plumbing in 2018 as a service technician and quickly advanced to Service Manager due to his extensive knowledge and expertise in the field. Josh has been married to his wife, Nicole, for 15 years, and together they have three children. In his free time, Josh enjoys watching his children play sports, camping and supporting the Atlanta Braves.
Kevin Gomez
Kevin Gomez has been passionate about working at Morningside since the age of 18, drawn to the unique opportunity to work on older homes and uncover the fascinating history behind their plumbing systems. With nearly four years of full-time plumbing experience and a strong focus on the trade since the age of 19, Kevin has now reached a major milestone by earning his plumbing license—a true reflection of his dedication and commitment to the craft.
Looking ahead, Kevin plans to pursue his master plumber’s license and hopes to use his expertise to mentor and teach the next generation of plumbers. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling to explore new places, spending time with friends, and immersing himself in the outdoors, whether it's camping or simply appreciating the scenery.
Mark Weifenbach
Mark WeifenbachMark leads our Underground Department, specializing in Hydro Excavation, Horizontal Directional Drilling, and Sewer Pulls. A proud Colorado native, Mark previously worked as a supervisor for a commercial maintenance company before joining our team three years ago. Since then, he has become an invaluable part of our operation.
Outside of work, Mark is passionate about giving back to the community. He volunteers with an organization called Kids Outdoor Zone, where he mentors and ministers to young teenage boys, helping guide them toward becoming responsible men. When he's not working or volunteering, Mark enjoys the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He’s also excited to soon become a grandfather!
Raul Castro
Raul has been an integral part of Morningside Plumbing since 1996, bringing extensive experience to the company. He has supervised over 5,000 apartment unit renovations and led the polybutylene water line replacement team on properties across the Southeast. Since 2005, Raul has also played a key role in overseeing the quality of our service department, ensuring that every project meets high standards. Known for his dedication, determination, and problem-solving skills, Raul is our go-to person for tough jobs, and his contributions have been a major factor in our success. Outside of work, Raul is a devoted husband and father of five, cherishing time spent with his family.
Webster Salyer
Webster plays a vital role in our underground department as our Hydro Excavation Operator and expert. Although he’s a recent addition to our team, he’s already excited to provide exceptional service to all of our valued customers. Outside of work, Webster is a proud father of two young men who are both working hard toward their college education.
