At Morningside Plumbing, we believe in perseverance. And once you hear our story, you won’t have to wonder why. Started 50 years ago by Bob Davis, Morningside Plumbing did well for upwards of 20 years. When he finally sold it, it was to someone who didn’t care for it well. Luckily Paul Wimpey and his brothers, along with their father Richard, were able to purchase it back out of bankruptcy court in the 1980s.

Since then, Richard Wimpey passed away and Paul’s brothers have retired. Paul has been running the business alone for the last three years, and is proud to say that determination and hard work has really turned it around from where it was 30 years ago. With an emphasis on teamwork and an insistence that everyone play to their own strengths, Morningside has become a thriving business serving the Lenox Park, Virginia Highland, Chastain Park, and Ansley Park neighborhoods in Atlanta. But it would have faded long ago without that one crucial value: perseverance.

This belief is at the core of how we do business here at Morningside. We won’t stop working on your problem until we’re sure we’ve fixed it, and we work hard to ensure that no matter what happens, we can handle it in the most cost-effective way possible.

That’s why we got into this business in the first place. With over five decades in the industry, we’ve seen it all and fixed it all. Our expertise enables us to work faster and better than many of our competitors, and consequently we’ve built a robust business based on happy repeat customers who come back over and over again.

Perhaps the biggest testament to our values, though, is the fact that we continue to be a family business. Although many of the former players have passed away or retired, Paul’s daughter still works at Morningside, and we have high hopes that the family tradition will continue far into the future! No matter how long we continue to thrive, however, we are grateful for all the people who’ve made our success to this point possible.
